Machine stitching over a plastic ‘cable’ which I then manipulated into shape and hand stitched at crossing points with invisible thread.
This piece is a 3D interpretation of lyrical and repeating (iterating) movements. The short red joining pieces speak of the transitions and links that dancers make. I made this piece of sculptural stitch a while ago with the hope that shadows cast by the sun at different times of day would give a constantly changing appearance.
